ABOUT THE ARTIST
J Del Dragonwhaler is the pen name for one of several art genres created by the same hand housed in LL Weard, LLC. Dragonwhaler is a child-friendly cartoonist, artist, and writer.
Creating art has been LL Weard's true passion for a better part of 40 years. His body of work is immense. He has been compared to and been influenced by classical and modern artists such as Van Gough, Mark Alan Stamaty, a multitude of New Yorker Magazine cartoonists, and Shel Silverstein.
His art drives him. He uses whatever is close at hand; whether it be a crayon, popsicle stick, garbage, or digital animator. He challenges himself constantly with subject matter and methods. His most recent signature method is drawing upside down and/or with both hands.
Throughout all aspects of his life he has never stopped creating. Despite working an unrelated full-time job, Weard has melded his passions, wears many hats and continues to create art as a husband, father, nature lover, and volunteer.
Weard's ultimate goal is to create art full-time. At his core, he hopes what most artists hope for... to have sparked a feeling of joy or wonder or anything you feel more than you did before experiencing his work.
Bio written by his wife, with the deepest admiration for his passion and talent. "I want others to be fortunate enough to see what I see."
